Oil Seal Installation Tip

I ran across this little item in Hemmings and thought it worth passing on.

To facilitate installing a crankshaft (or other shaft) oil seal put it the freezer for awhile first. This will slightly reduce the diameter as well as harden the plastic/rubber on the outside of it making it easier to put in and get square.

Sounded reasonable to me.
