Intake Spacer for 964 3.6L
I'm looking for a 3 bolt to 3 bolt intake spacer for a 964 engine.
Basically I want to raise the surface ~1/2" I have an ITB setup and the way that it is now - the nuts which hold the ITBs sit below the fan shroud and are a real PITA to deal with. Looking for a spacer to use for this interface -- but not having much luck. pointers? thanks, mike

I'd be tempted to try stainless steel allen head bolts instead of studs and nuts if the nuts are too hard to get at.
Or maybe these cam tower 8x1.25 barrel nuts Part # 901-111-271-00-M100 but 12 0f them would be expensive... They're on this page part way down: Pelican Parts - European Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche • BMW • Mercedes • Volkswagen • Audi • Saab • Volvo • MINI Last edited by JFairman; 12-10-2014 at 08:27 AM.. |

No sooner had I sent this out than I thought of the same thing --
just find thicker nuts -- it will require dremel work on the ITBs to make sure there is space to fit them on. Sadly it's 18 not 12 :-) But still probably cheaper than spacers. I'll probably source them non-Porsche for a good price discount :-) Mike
