Need Manifolds for 1974 911

I'm rebuilding a 1974 911 2.7, and I see that my old 2.4 911T manifolds will not do as they are a bit too small and they do not cover the 'injector notch' that is cast or machined into the heads. Where can I obtain the proper manifolds? PMO does not seem to have 'contact us' information, and the one place that I can find on the web does not answer their e-mail or answer phone calls.

TIA.

John.

FWIW, 74 to 77 and 80 to 83 are the same. I have a set off an 81 that will work for you

Knowing what you need now, this is one item that will help you if you can find them.
These are insulators, the ones for CIS have the extra form to cover the injector area of the head
My insulators are for MFI with the injector notch.
Sorry I couldn't help

I sell PMO parts if interested. The normal PMO intake manifolds are about 5/8" taller than OEM which makes installation of the OEM air cleaner an issue for lack of headroom. You can remove the sound pad on the ceiling of the engine bay to gain clearance. K&N filters work even with the tall PMO manifolds.

However, PMO will not sell insulator plates to bridge the notch. This is due to the real possibility of the phonelic warping (unsupported over the notch) and creating an air leak which would burn valves. You could make aluminum adapter plates that would bridge the area and use silicone gasket material to seal.

Also, you could place your manifold onto the head and mark the flange to see how much overlap you have with the notch. A 1/4" overlap is probably good enough to reliably seal.

Thanks, guys. I've made contact with a PMO supplier, and I think I'm on the trail to manifolds and heat insulators.

In other news, my triple beam balance came today, so I can get my rods, pistons, and pins sorted.

John.
