Anyone have a positive or negative experience with Engine Builders Supply?? They appear to have reaonable prices for machine shop services and rebuild parts.

I know others will chime in here with positive reviews.
I used them for their excellent oil cooler cleaning and testing service. A first class outfit all the way! Five stars.

EBS - Outstanding Service!
They did all my machine work, including cylinders & custom profiling of cams. They are a quality operation with knowledgeable people, fair prices, and quick delivery.

I hear that they do good machine work, but I have never used them personally. Of course, the best place to get engine rebuild parts will be our engine rebuild catalog section, which will be unveiled with the release of the new book...

EBS... are they still good?
Found this in a search, back in 2004 people had positive things to say... 10+ years later?
Looking at a 911T that had the machine work done there in 2009... the pistons and rings were purchased from EBS, Engine Builders Supply, they bored the original cylinders to match the JE pistons. 85mm and 9.5:1. Any thoughts appreciated! Last edited by blacksparrow; 10-08-2015 at 12:24 PM.. Reason: typo |

I agree with Jeff. They've continued to provide great service to the Porsche DIY community. Quite a few people send EBS their cylinders to be replated or bored & replated. Very knowledgeable on everything 911 engine-related. They even participate here on the forums.

In addition to their machine shop work, in recent years they have started rebuilding gearboxes. I trust them enough to let them sell my parts.

Good people! I bought a set of Mahle pistons that Don had ordered for another customer who later changed his mind about some of the specs. Later, I got some questions answered. I try to get most parts from Wayne, but sometimes PP just doesn't have what I'm looking for!

Have bought parts from them for years, for 924/944 and 911, never encountered a problem. Always good communication, excellent service and reasonable pricing.
