wprater, I hope this message reaches you and you can share some of your knowledge with me. This is my first experience on a forum. But was compelled to reach you after seeing what you have done to your car. I have had my 78 SC since 1980. Its been to lots of track event and to bike races with a roof rack. Now it’s getting ready for a mechanical and then cosmetic makeover with 75k miles. I love the car but can’t stand the bumpers and mirrors. May I ask you where you got your mirror and bumpers?
And mechanically, I want to replace the old injection system. Not ready to leave my 3.0. Any suggestions on a pragmatic reliable replacement for the old fuel delivery system? And any other upgrades to the engine while it on the floor.
Love your car.
Thank you, Pete S.

I learned a lot from reading this thread, thanks for documenting in so much detail
wprater!

I hope you are still enjoying the DYI 3.2SS build, did you ever post a follow-up if you were able to sort out all the little issues and details and how it drives now?

Cheers,
Lukas

Car has been exceptional! Drives and pulls hard. Got all my issues sorted and even built out a SC/RS 915 box for it.

Tempted to put the car up for sale this year as I drive it the least of all my 911.
