Question Crank Shaft Specs which bearings?

Hey Fellas,

Okay, just mic'd the crank shaft 1-7:

(#1) 2.3615" ( thrust bearing, width is 28.00MM)
(#2) 2.3613"
(#3) 2.3612"
(#4) 2.3612"
(#5) 2.3612"
(#6) 2.3612"
(#7) 2.3612"

Maximum wear limit is 2.3600", so she is within spec.

New Shafts per Spec are 2.3610"-2.3618"

I have a choice of Porsche bearings vs Porsche GT3 RED bearings which are 0.0005" thinner.

What would you do?

You need to know the diameter -ID of the bearings in the case before you can decide.
Can't know clearance without both dimensions------

Will get a STD bearing and measure with bore gauge to be absolutely sure.

Spoke to Ollie's they stated my case is straight and true within spec.

Thanks for your input.

I am not expert but went through something similar a while ago.. I spoke with the guys at EBS... after speaking with them, and considering what I was using the motor for, I decided to go with the stock genuine Porsche bearings.

That is the path I am taking as well.

REDs sound nice but not for largely street use 900-3000RPMs
