The Canary Files: 1969 911T engine upgrades?

So the engine on the Canary (1969 911T) is about to go back together and I'm now thinking of upgrading the pistons for a little more something. I've had the cams ground to E cams but it seems silly to put the stock pistons back in there if I've gone this far? Looking in Wayne's book (page 112 if you would like to follow along) I could go for S pistons and bring the compression ratio up to 9.8:1.

Case 2.0, Crank 2.0 (66mm), 1969 S pistons, Cylinders 2.0 (81mm), Cam E, 40 Weber Carb, 2.0L heads, disp 2.0, Ratio 9.8:1

Now the expensive part of that would be finding a good set of used S pistons. I called EBS Racing in Reno and talked to Don who was very nice and super knowledgeable, they sell a new S piston set for $995 + I would need to bore then hone the cylinders to 81mm.

Worth it? Thoughts?

Cheers!

-Kav.

2.2 will fit too. Just need to modify the sealing surfaces of the heads, of course all the valves in 69 are smaller than the 2.2
