Do you purchase those locally?

Ed - I have a lathe so I make the plugs from alu round stock. I guess steel core plugs would work if they are the right size, do a search on here to see what people use.

Another thing I like to do, use extra long exhaust studs and machine stainless spacers for under the nuts. This does two things, it makes the nuts easier to get to (Ronnie, your response goes here) and if you ever want to remove them and one doesn't want to come off you can cut it off and still have enough stud left for a new nut. I use the copper plated prevailing torque nuts and never seize.

I have a lathe as well...do you happen to have the diemensions

I just measured the ones I knocked out and added a couple thou, don't know exact dimension. Once in I roughed up the plug and case and applied epoxy. There is one you have to pay attention to the depth, too deep and it blocks an oil drilling, forgot which one though, it's on here somewhere.
