2r Case Stud locations

Hi,

Is there a reference available anywhere for case stud locations? Its a 1970 2.2E mag case. The machine shop removed them all to do the machining and i'm not certain where they all go back.

Thanks

Wayne's book has several pictures of a case being assembled. You could probably figure it out by looking at those. https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/accessories/rebuilding-porsche-911-engines.htm

Maybe someone who has a case laying around could post a picture.

Maybe this can help.

This is taken from our notes on the mag cases. There could be some minor differences. We remove all the case fasteners from the case when doing any work on the case and had this in our engine notes for this older engine.

We value our information and rarely give out IP stuff, but this is something anyone measure and nothing special.

Hope it helps.

Our host has PDF copies of Porsche parts manuals. So does Porsche Cars North America on their website! Download the manual closest to your case model. It is full of exploded diagrams, and when you cross reference the numbered parts on the diagram with the (eventual) description of the part, usually you get both the diameter and pitch of the stud or other fastener, but also the length. Plus the drawings show which goes where.

That should compliment Neil's great listing.
