Thermo Valve

I search a number of forums and can't get a straight answer on the placement of the thermo valve. On one site, it showed it attached to the #2 intake pipe. On another, it was attached to the blower fan support. Where does the thermo valve go? I would like to get it right. The engine is a 77 ROW 2.7l.

Thanks in advance, all.

Thermo valve location

So, the #2 air duct does have a spot for the support of the new fan I installed. It also has two threaded attachment points. See pictures I've attached.

JakeV,

The WUR on your engine does look like the typical WUR used in ‘76-‘77 models. Could you post the Bosch ID number on top of the WUR? It should read like 0 438 140 xxx. The last three (3) digits will identify it. Thanks.

That is the correct WUR. I could not see the nipple for the vent line in your picture. Thanks.
