Can you feel if the coolant hoses in front of the car are getting hot? If not you may have an air pocket, or circulation issue. I usually like to run the car at 1500 rpm with the cap off. Then when the temp gets to around 180F I will put the cap back on making sure the bleeder clip is up, and then run around 2500 RPM to make sure that the coolant can circulate. In your case I would watch the temperature gauge very closely. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you.

I have read a few articles regarding getting rid of air pockets. They suggests to jack up the car and make sure the radiator is the highest point. So that means for 986, we will have to jack up the rear to make sure the plastic coolant tank is the highest point, is it correct?
