We haven't had them around here for 10+ years, and they used to annoy me too, but now that I have kids I think of those "Baby on Board" signs as kind of like those "My Daughter Is An Honor Student At XYZ High" stickers - no, I didn't really want to know, thanks, but basically harmless.
And they serve a very useful function - it tells the rest of us to watch out, the person in that vehicle is apt to be more distracted than you'd like a driver to be . . .
