Thinking about this, it shouldn't really be much of a surprise.

Probably the biggest problem with an internal combustion engine, from an aerodynamic perspective, is keeping it cool. Although there will be some need to cool an electric motor, it doesn't need to be constantly cooled in the same way. Probably the biggest advantage an electric vehicle has is the capability for extremely low drag coefficient.
