Depends on the bypass pipe. We (M&K) use the stock catalytic converter for our fixture points for both our MKM32 premuffler and MKM60 bypass pipe. We also use the OEM banana muffler for our fixture points on our single inlet mufflers. That being said we run into this problem all the time, which is why we made the single inlet mufflers adjustable. These are 30+ year old cars, the OEM systems warp and spring out when unbolted and if the OEM heat exchangers have ever been removed they were likely bolted back up in a different position due to that warpage. There is a LOT of adjustability in the 9 bolts holding on the catalytic converter and the 12 bolts securing the heat exchangers. If you loosen the 9 bolts on your bypass pipe there should be enough adjustability to install the OEM muffler.
