Here are some details as to what my car has:
The motor was rebuilt 6,000 miles ago by P.O.'s friend:
- all heads rebuilt with all new parts
- cams reground by webcam
- all new bearings and seals
- polished the crank
- new time chains and guides
- entire rebuild kit from Vertex
- low mile p/c set from an 82 SC (the old ones were good, but the PO stumbled onto these with 60K on them. a 82 is also higher compression ratio)
- new ignition wires (steel braided)
- new turbo valve covers
- new fuel pump
- new fuel accumulator
- new turbo tie rods
- pop off valve
- carrera chain tensioners
- new rebuild on the alternator
- nice bilstiens (4)
- new sachs clutch pack
- re-ground flywheel
- all new seals and gaskets in the 915 ( PO inspected the 915, all good)
- all new CV joints & boots
I had a mechanic adjust the CO to the proper level and set the idle level to correct specs last week. I replaced the spark plugs 3 weeks ago.
