Jacking up my 325iT

Just wondering if there's some kind of floor jack insert to make jacking up my 2002 325iT a little less sketchy. I'm currently using a small block of wood at the jack points and don't really trust it.

Thanks all,
Jason

I dont know that kind of jack you have but on several of mine I have removed the cupped jack plate and use the flat piece that the plate sits on against the stock jack pad. Watch and be careful that the car jack pad does not slide off of the jack. I've used wood too but only when placing a jack stand or jack beside the jack pad.

Thanks - and on that note, where are the best places to put my jack stands?

I leave the jack in place but I transfer the weight to a jackstand.

In the front, I place it just behind the jackpad because I'm using the jackpad for the jack. I use wood to protect the car from the jack stand.

In the rear, I place the jack on the brace just in front of the diff. and put jack stands on the rear jack pads.
