How to drain gas from E46 (2005 325xi)
have bad gas in car, stalled out and will not fire up. cranks like a bandit, but no fire. siphoned out as much as i could but still have about 1/4 tank. tank is plastic, any way to drain gas out ??? thanks

Sounds like a cam sensor-->why you thinking bad gas???
Did you check for spark @ plugs???? |

we put the gas in there from a boat
didn't realize it was bad, cat didn't go 1/2 mile before it konked out.
thanks. i may take out back seat to access the tank from the top, but i thought i could do it from underneath. thanks 14t |

NO cant be done from underneath unless maybe pulling fuel filter and crank car till it all shoots out

the fuel filter is back right corner right under bumber ??? its a canister filter, ?? i assume the filter is after the fuel pump, so the pump would be pushing the gas out to the filter vs trying to pull it through.

NOt 100% sure on ur car, but most E-46 fuel filters are almost directly under the drivers seat.....there is a pnl you have to remove to get to it

Like BMWCowboy said the filter should be under the driverseat. Just pull the rear line into the filter angle it into a container and have someone turn the key to ON, but don't try to start it, and it should pump the gas out of the tank.

Oh and drain the fuel filter or replace it entirely.
