Error Codes

Hi guys,

I own a BMW 3 series 2002 model that I have been using for about 2 years now. The Check Engine Light came on recently and it gave me the follwoing Error Codes
1. 06 - Fuel Injector, Cylinder #1
2. F3 - Misfire Detected, Cylinder #6
3. F5 - Secondary air System too low, Cylinder #1-3
4. F6 - Secondary air System too low, Cylinder #4-6

It will be appreciated if you can shed more light on this.

Thanks

Oh!! and by the way, the car seems to run fine, no jerking or stalling just the pesky 'check engine Light' that comes on.

Just change to coil in number 6 and see what you get after a reset. Sometimes just a bad coil can throw a bunch or wacky stuff.

I would swap coils around and see if the misfire moves.

The secondary air is that fan that looks like a vacuum cleaner motor. It should start and run for a couple of minutes after a cold start. They use cheap bushings rather than bearings in the electric fan motor. so they don't last forever. Check to make sure that it is getting 12 volts after a cold start before replacing the fan. The relay could have failed.
