Fault Code 3242 Replace Thermostat?

For this code is it most common for the thermostat to be the culprit? Car does not overheat and runs great. Also the SES light will come on and after I clear the code it takes about 200 or more miles before it re-lights

Hello and welcome to the forum! What model is this in regards to? Code 3242 is for Map Cooling Thermostat Control Circuit High Input. You may need to replace your thermostat. Other members will likely chime in as well with their thoughts.
