Unhappy 2007 E60 Heater problem

Good Afternoon;

2007 BMW 530i E60 (162k miles) heater issues. I am the third owner. Love this car! Heater will only heat 15-20 degrees above outside temp. After checking maintenance records, I find that this was an issue since day one (initial home was in Seattle, WA for 12 years). Dealer basically told owner to use defroster and wait.

I have replaced thermostat and heater control valve all with zero improvement. AC works fine as does all the climate-control. Except heater.

I am led to believe this is a quirk of the E60.

IDEAS????? It was -12 today so I was a bit unhappy.

Thanks......

You should post your question on the E60 section of bimmerforums.com
There are a lot more peeps there that can answer your question.
I have an e39 540, that cooling system is a little bit different than yours.
