Unhappy O2 sensor

Hi everyone,

I got an engine check light and the PEAK code indicated that it was the driver side O2 sensor.I replaced it and reset. The light goes out but comes back on after a few minutes of driving.

Did I do something wrong? could it be something within the circuit other then the sensor? How do I test that? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I dont know how many O2's you have but make sure you replaced the correct one.

O2 codes do not always indicate an O2 problem. I suggest searching for the error codes on the web. Try BentlyPublishing, AllExperts and obd-codes.com

I get teh CE light a lot and I have the reader too. One of the four O2 sensors is bad but I have yet to diagnose which one. The peake and the OBDII readers are helpful but I have spent a ton of money on parts that I don't think were really bad due to codes (MAF, CPS, injectors, etc). BMW really shoudl make the diagnostic software available... it would make these cars so much more fun!!!
