2001 525iT Trouble Codes
Ive got a 2001 525iT with around 125K on it that recently started giving me several trouble codes. The codes I am reading are:
19 E3 - Oxygen Sensor Adaptation Limit Cyl 1-3 19 E4 - Oxygen Sensor Adaptation Limit Cyl 4-6 19 A8 - Coolant thermostat jammed open 19 C6 - Catalytic convertor efficiency Cyl 1-3 19 CA - Oxygen sensor control limit Cyl 1-3 It sounds like it needs a new thermostat and a couple of O2 sensors. Can anyone give me a bit more direction? Are these both semi simple jobs? Also, which O2 sensors do you recommend? The OEM ones look pretty spendy. Which sensors are these codes for? Pre or after cat sensors? Thanks for any help! |
