Clock making noise after car is off

Hi,

new here. just bought a 1994 - 525i.

After I turn the car off the clock makes a humming noise for almost 15 minutes before it turns off. Not too loud unless i put my ear to it. Is climate control part of this clock assembly? Could i be hearing a climate control fan, not turning off when it should?

My guess is its the fan on the climate control that moves air across the cabin temp sensor. It is behind the tiny little grill to the left of the display on my E36.
