aux audio input 2002 530
I am looking for an aux audio input (to play Zen MP3) for a 2002 530i with DSP premium sound, single CD player in dash, no CD changer, no nav.
There is an OEM aux input (82110149390), but it only works for MY 2003. I have found 3 aftermarket possibilities: 1. DICE Silverline ipod/aux adaptor, expensive ($250) and seems to have problems, judging from web postings I have seen. 2. US Spec ipod/aux adaptor, cheaper but is new ($180). 3. A simple aux audio, head mounted adaptor from EAS ($150). Does anyone have experience with these or other solutions to getting aux audio input? The pre-2003 DSP sound systems are apparently problematic for after-market sound because the CD changer connector in the trunk is a coaxial.

That is probably the same stereo issue I had with my 01 330. The solutions sound similar. My wife opted for an aftermarket stereo.
A couple more places to look Ebay, PAC and Crutchfield. http://www.pac-audio.com
