HID lights dash error?
Another quirk of our new to us 528 iT:
It has HID's installed but they don't look factory as they have relays and ballast boxes connected to them that don't look like BMW engineers would have done. My problem is that the little car on the dash lights up with the headlights "on" meaning that there is a problem but all lights work. If you turn the HID's on and then the dash car will go away only to come back within probably 10 miles or so. I know it's not anything serious but I can't stand to have a dash light on for any reason. Any thoughts? Oh, I broke the stupid freakin' front cupholders already. DOH!!!!! ![]() We love this car, BTW. My wife is very happy that we went with this versus her other choices.

Older aftermarket lights used to trip the light warning system. The "good" brand new aftermarkets have it all worked out. You should be able to find some info on the web. See what you can find and let me know.

I'm an idiot>
The dash car is not on when the HIDs are on , only when the "city" lights are on. That makes sense now. I did some research on the Web but I think it's ok. Oh well.
