Dear beamer heads, I come in peace. I'm building a street quad (four wheeled motorcycle) with a hopped up street bike engine, all aluminum frame, stainless pipes, crazy, everything custom. When looking for rear-end, I came across a complete rear suspension, diff and all, out of a 2002 525I. What can I say, bmw builds a sweet looking aluminum rear suspension, I just had to have it. I don't know jack about BMW's. Does anyone know if anybody makes a limited slip or locker for this diff? Also, what are the wires coming out of the calipers and spindles? Abs? Traction Control? I guess I should have done some research, but it was shinny and I couldn't help myself. Even if I have to swap in another housing, this thing is just too pretty to take to the scrap yard.
Thanks, Corey |

I don't think you can get a LSD that will fit into that housing.
Try: http://www.diffsonline.com/ http://www.quaife.co.uk/ There are wheel speed sensors on the back of the hubs. There is a brake pad wear sensor on one pad on one side.
