'88 528e timing belt replacement question
I'm usually on the Porsche side of the board, but i just picked up an '88 528e for my son & want to change the timing belt, as i don't know when it was last done.
Is there a site to go to for repair diagrams (please don't say Haynes) for the belt replacement procedure. Also any "while you are in there" items i should look at, like maybe water pump & tension roller? Thanks for the advice Brent

You should replace the water pump while you're there. It's very easy.
Take a look at this.. Pelican Technical Article: BMW E30 Timing Belt Replacement In this article, the car is an E30, but the engine is basically identical in your car. |

You're right. This is MUCH simpler than doing it on a 944.
