Brake Cooling

I am hoping someone can help me out. I am thinking about installing a set of brake backing plates from Nerp on my 1998 328I, but I haven't seen any feedback or discussions in here yet. I actually have them on my 911 and seem to have made quite an improvement in the life of the pads and stopping fade, but I would rather seek advice first when I can't find anything posted. The part number is PEL-BBCOBPAZK. Thanks

I'm glad you posted this. I didn't know Pelican was selling cooling kits. I desperately need to install brake cooling this off season, since we opened a new track here that is very hard on brakes.

I haven't used them yet but yes they will make a big difference on the track.

This is for the track? And you will be installing them with proper ducting?

I am planning on using them for the track and with the ducting. They made a huge improvement on my 911. I think if no one replies that they have used them by next week I am just going to buy them based on my porche experience. I will let everyone know how it goes.

I think you'll find this kit to be a real plus for pad life and ruduction of fading.
I have a similar set-up on my 993 and have noticed a big benefit. This kit is set up properly and gets the air where you need it. If you just install ducts but not the backing plates that some kits don't include, you miss out on the real benefit. I think you'll find them to be a big plus.

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that it looks like Pelican has these brake cooling kits on sale now for a couple of weeks. Seems like perfect timing with the season just getting started.
