Outside Air Temp Sensor

What type of instrument is the outside air temp sensor? Is it an RTD or Thermocouple? What type of RTD or Thermocouple? Do all model BMWs use the same sensor?

I replaced the sensor with a used one but it does not work. I do not know how to test the sensor or the ECM input.

I don't know what type of sensor it is.

Different models use different sensors.

I think the sensor changes resistance as temp changes.
