1. Filter = MAHLE OC91. Many cross reference to something else but these are my preference

2. Alternator.

Being it's a BCR it is more than likely* fitted with the high output 50amp Bosch regardless of ABS and/or heated grips which are the prerequisite options for high output units on non-BCR's. I don't know why this is the case as my '03 prep has this yet is not optioned with heated grips or ABS. I have seen plenty of 'preps' and BCR's and all have been fitted with the H/O units, but that doesn't dismiss the fact some oddity out there may exist.

BMW's list on these is pretty steep at $1,026.19.

I suggest sourcing one from a reputable supplier who offers a reasonable warranty for considerably less than half of what BMW would nick you for.

BMW's number is 12312306020
BOSCH number is 0123105001

* Check yours to verify. Here's a site for you to input your VIN number to obtain you bikes specifics, i.e. options, colour, build date, etc.

https://www.mdecoder.com/

Down towards the bottom of the page on the site you should see something similar to to the details of my prep as shown:

Other Equipment:

X0509 Reinforced Power Supply
X0547 Sports Suspension
X0779 Wide Tires

Hope this is helpful - Good luck.
