Best way to replace rear indicator stalk?
Finally had and indicator stalk break on me. I need to replace it. I have the replacement part in my hand. Now how do I do it? Looking at the broken one, I cannot see a quick connect/disconnect for the lead into the blinker which means I'd have to take apart the rear of the bike. Surely that is not the way to do this.
So how do you replace the stalk? Useful information only please. No ranting. I need to replace this before I get back on the parkway this afternoon. Thanks.

Remove lens screw from back and gingerly remove lens (do not drop, it WILL break!).
Pull out reflector. Pull off spade connectors. Remove mounting screw. Pull wires thru tunnel. Reverse procedure with new signal.
