BMW Roundel Mader - R1100s

Hi
For everyone who can't wait for the next
generation S and/or wants to spice up the
current one here might be the answer.
Helmut Mader, who also build the factory
Dakar bikes offers tuning for the S.
The bike had on the dyno 120hp/7600rpm
and 117NM at 6000rpm!The stock bike had on
the same dyno 25Hp/20Nm less...
0-125 in 10,7sec;the stock bike needs 4 sec
more...
Wet weight 215Kg;the stock bike weighs 30Kg
more...
If anybody is interested:01149/8122/48286
(Hopefully the next S will be this straight
from the factory for a little less dough..!)
Chris
PS:The motor and exhaust wih lighter 101
mm forged pistons,bigger valves,throttle
bodies,cams,lighter rockerarms/buckets,
exhaust and reworked motronic is 6700,
70 lbs less weight with carbon fibre
body and rearframe is 3900EU...

Hi Rob
I forgot to mention that a lightened
73 mm Cruiser crankshaft for 1170cc
are part of the package,too.
The article is in the new issue of
PS which is on sale in Holland, too.
But the article was pretty much what I
already said and that the bike was oing
unbelievable strong and more fun to ride
than jap-fours or even a Duc 999S build up
to Superbike specs.High praise from
Markus Barth (ex World Superbike,250GP and
now Boxercup contender),indeed...
Hope the new S will be close to this bike,
but for less $$$ !!
In the same article the non street legal
and only 184 kg wet R1200S from Peter
Ackermann/Ralf Schwickerath (BMW Factory
engineers) and similar build to the street
legal Mader R1200S was only 3 sec slower
than a superbike spec build Duc 999S..!
pack-parts:01149/6322/955780
The Dyno reading for the Mader-S
Hp:60/4000rpm
75/5000rpm
95/5800rpm/same as stock but 2000rpm
lower!
100/6000rpm
110/7000rpm
120/7600rpm
NM:between 100 and 117 from 3500 to 8500rpm
stock peak was 97 and on average 20 Nm
lower...
Also the muffler looks stock on the outside
but reworked on the iside and the new
tranny gets a treatment too and shifts great
according to Markus Barth, but what was
done the article unfortunately doesn't say.
Fairing and subframe/rearsection,lower
fairing/bellypan (totally different from
Boxercup) are carbonfibre painted with the
carbon fibre showing like a checkered flag.

Well Chris, I'm not too sure about al these projects. I did a couple of finds on Google and guess what?

Quote:
Your search - "Peter Ackermann" "Ralf Schwickerath" - did not match any documents.
and:

Markus Barth (who died 1 July 1994) held a chair in New Testament studies at the University of Basel in Switzerland. He was the son of the great theologian Karl Barth. Helmut Blanke was a student of Markus Barth's and earned his Th.D. at the University of Basel.
And the only project Helmut Mader did was this one:

Although I might be able to get a copy of PS many forum friens can't. Why don't you give us some more proof by scanning the da##ed article?

Just making fun!
I know these guys do some interesting stuff (the pic above) but too bad there isn't too much stuff to find on the web (the Google results...) I'll pick up a copy of the PS and see if I can scan the article.

"End of the discussuion for me at least!"

That was the most intellingent thing the azzhole said in the entire thread. In some ways, attitudes like his are comforting. It reminds me that i am paranoid for a legit reason.
and "no politics" Jeff? sorry, but comments like his need to be addressed, otherwise people begin to believe that there is wide support for that kinda crap.
