I'd caution you to reword your disclaimer about being able to use the cables/hoses unchanged. This is only true for some models. I moved my bars from below the triple clamps to above and needed a new front brake line.
Otherwise, kudos for the initiative and a good product.

I appreciate that, pwillikers.
I 'll take a look, but I think I make it clear these are for above the tripleclamp models. I'll check it.

Revision 2
Nix that previous link.
We've trimmed a bit of xtra material off the rearward end of the barbacks. We're shooting for a start time of Friday or Monday. Get your checks in the mail! Check it out: ![]() http://www.sdcsoftware.com/rapiddog/barbacks.htm

If you're taking improvement suggestions, how about streamlining the clamping side a little bit? So far, I like the way they look.

Not sure, but I think you mean radiusing around the clamp and other edges.
For right now, at the price, I can't do much more. That's what I'd like to do maybe in the future...

Hey Rapid Dog,
Here's what I was thinking, radiusing the corners to remove some of the "blockiness"... ![]() |

Your looking at less than 1/2 pound each. If we where really kool we'd use unobtanium.
As it is, a simple design that works, at a fair price, and not too ugly. If you want a set, get on the wagon Twinfan man! We're set up for 10 sets and 7 are spoken for, plus a couple interested parties in the wings... e-me at: randyj@usaltg.com ![]()

Randy, I certainly appreciate your rapid response. MSN hotmail did some changeover today and I could not send anything out. The price is certainly right for cnc machined adaptors. My stock 99 S still has the bars under the triple trees. I will wait to see how your customers like the ones mounted there.---Yellow ones make the kids look

in case you look here before you're e-mail inbox...
He gang, just an updater...I've got all your checks and I'll be holding them until we ship. My CNC pal, Oscar, just brought me a final piece minus the holes, clamp cut and back cut. See the pic. I'll make one last fit test and then we should be ready to roll. He wants to start the run next week unless something more important comes up. I'll let you know how it goes... ![]() Woe be to those who didn't get in on this. You takers are the lucky ones! Theses are turning out WAY nicer than the prototype. There are 9 of 10 sets spoken for. (I'm getting a set!) One set left. We have enough material for maybe 12 or so. Oscar said he'd do the extras if someone wants them this time..but then that's it at this price! After this the price will be about 40%. Regards, Rapid http://www.sdcsoftware.com/rapiddog/barbacks.htm ![]()

New to the forum, just bought a 99 S w/ABS
Ordered the barbacks from Rapid Dog. Hopefully santa will bring em by christmas. Thats when I will be in Toronto, where the bike is, and I can try them for fit. As far as riding comfort that will have to wait until the spring when the frozen water and salt is gone. (Its going to be a balmy -25 Celcius here tomorrow) Then it will be a 900 mile test as I return to Thunder Bay. I'll update in January wrt the fit/ hose length. They look great in the lastest pics |
