Indicated, right? Most box-stock S's will show somewhere around 140 indicated in level, no-wind, sea-level conditions, so you're right in the hunt - maybe a tiny bit low, but your speedo may be a little more realistic than average. (Actual top speed is probably around 10mph less.)

Last fall in CO with bags and loaded for a 10 day trip she did a GPS 138 (indicated was 150). I believe we were at 5000ft at the time.

That was the highest I saw indicated with bags on during a 2-mile blast.

Without bags I've seen about 148 indicated.

The highest speed I've gotten without bags is just over an indicated 150 mph. This was captured by my friend's tank mounted video camera when we matched our speeds on our favorite road, his speedo showed between 150 and 155 mph. Never tried anything more than 120 with the bags on.

I hit 155 somewhere with bags and pipe, chip, induct and sprockets on a nice straight high visibility backroad in the midwest this last summer with my bags and camping gear on board. Course it was probably only 135/140 in real mph.

I hit an indicated 155 with Bags going through Wyoming. I was about 750 rpm short of redline and it felt like it had some power left, I just didn't feel like anymore.

Still had 55 miles per gallon on that tank too.

Robert - I hit 155 on 78 outside of Allentown. I've hit 130 on the BQE a couple of times late at night, but it's hard w/all the traffic!

You guys don't brake any laws, do ya?

Well 155 MPH indicated 144 GPS no bags, convex windshield, Two Mothers full, K&N, no snorkel, no cat code, K11 fuel reg, grinded headers, and I'm only 155 Lb.

BADDABING.....

Greetings All,

718 RIDER WINS!

Anyone that can hit 130 on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway wins the award!

Not a tire/rim friendly road. Or a friendly road period.

718 Rider has ice cubes running thru his veins!

Brooklyn does rock!

City Squids vs Cutter Cabs. Dreams of the locked in. Incarcerated by traffic, smoke, crime, and get it while you can vibes. No place but expressways to strut your speed. Next time you leave the Brooklyn-Queens X-way.........don't stop till you get to Yuma.................then you'll know what top speed on rough roads is.
