New Tires Needed, have read some old posts but...

I still like Pilot Sports. Was the long post about Pilot Roads pretty factual? If I buy once per year I'd rather spend more and get whats best right now.

Whats currently in favor? I sorta like the little elephants imprinted on some.

I have about a thousand miles, including a track day, on Pireli Diablos. I had them over to the edge of the tread with no misbehavior. They're the best all around tires I've had on the S yet. They're not showing much wear yet either but at only a thousand, I can't really tell yet. Most of the other tires I've had have been ST types, so there's not much competion for "the best", but I really like them.

Love the diablo base model.
ordered another set just now from DMTA, recomended by a friend.
Will not buy any tire that is mileage oriented over performance.
Joes report will be a good one, he will know.
