BMW motorcycle boss explains the K1200S
Translations a bit rough but Locus did a good job
Looks like we got ourselves a "sport tourer"... http://www2.i-bmw.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=K1200S&Number=53183&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=

Vics, very nice and thank you very much. BMW states concisely that the niche they seek is rarified and that they intend the new K12S to be the best high powered, 280 kilometer per hour, available and also the most safe one as well. Very well pointed toward real roads being driven by real people...........who on occasion may really want to air it out. Bravo for BMW and its new narrow case, low mount, four.

"But the ambitious driver wants sovereignty: He the wants to have high speed the possibility and being able to overhaul surely. He wants to have this sovereignty also on the highway, where he can accelerate from each course fast. From that point there are 167 HP in the K 1200 S. and you will experience it: It is not too much for this machine."
For me the quote above sums it up! I want the sovereignty!!! That is the essence of motorcycling.

I must admit I smiled when I read the word "sovereignty" in the translation - very cool! Its the feeling you get when you utterly dominate the car driving hordes in their bovine attempts to waste space.
