Now just to be clear, all this 100hp and low end rumbly stuff, i dont want anyone to think there is not a place for a true, balls out super bike in thier line up.
Those of you who know what i am talking about, well you know, you're exempt. The rest of you drones, dont kid yourself, gsxr-1000, R1, honda cbr1000rr, kwaker whatever 1000, absolutley a rush, top stuff, howling banshee outa control rocket ship ferrari super bike fun. Nothing like it, not my 9er, nothing. Couple of grand or so for suspension is all you truly need to do to those things, a new top rate super bike, pipe and commander is nice too, ohlins steering damper is kinda good, and ya must have good throttle control. I miss my tricked out 04 gsxr-1000, as soon as they fix the muff on the 2005 ill have to have one or the new bussa in 06, i miss an open class 4cycl. The k1200rs was always a pig im glad that pile is gone, good bike if it woulda held together, but bmw cant build super bikes, they are good at twins. Now a nice japerneezzy super bike 4cycl, outragious, ya realy need to try one some time thats set up, nothing else like it. I think i know what my next type bike is, yes i do. And dont give me any of your lame ass conservative mumbo jumbo, yes, you do need to know what your doing, duh! I miss howling through the canyon behind my hut, i miss it bad, but i know how to fix that. ![]()

Ya me too.
Went to a vintage bike show this last weekend, came away feelng old and slower than snot, not my style at all. Posting forces us to verbalize in effect, and sometimes frame out thoughts that take form and resolve issues or visualize ideas that are loosely bound. Im visualizing oh boy am i!!.

BTW, you dont know how i prep a new super bike, wait till you drive one of these Acid Beasts, do it respectfully and it rivals the best POA youve ever had, for free, over and over, not a bad dealio.

Gimme an R1 with danco racing porting and cams, trackdaze bodywork and ohlins and dymags and a good setup with the PCIII; a stack of tires to sort thru for my style, a 55-gallon dreum of 110 octane VP and a week at laguna or road atlanta. heaven. Orrrrr.....a 3-yar old NSR500...yeah, now that would be a REAL rush...a gen-u-ine 500GP bike.

1. Day strip all decals off, all.
2. Micron hi mount pipe, PC3R 3. @ 1000miles, LE Front end, matching rear ohlins or penske 3 way with Ti spring, full track set up geometry. 4. Ohlins steeering damper. 5. Rear sets for better leg room, down 1". 6. Rick Mayer custom seat. 7. Ivans TRE. 8. Remove wierd niose abatement flapper valves and any asscoaited junk that runs them. 9. Better tires. 10. Flush signals, under tail. Thats the norm for me on the last 2 gsxr's. On the next one i might do an ohlins set of forks and forged wheels also, just cuz. Sure does make a diff on the 9er, it will make as much or more a diff on the gsxr. The ohlins on the 9er are superb, i am a believer. A few other little things im not thinking of like a custom radar mount, bmw electrical outlet, throttlemeister, billet race side covers, sliders, all good stuff.

I was watching 2-wheeled tuesday last night with the wifey-unit; she said the R6 greg white was on was 'cute' so I immeiately said I'm going to get one for a track bike to replace my TZ250 (that just funded her nordstroms charge card to the tune of 3+grand).....I had to duck the hurled margarita glass; good thing my reflexes are still 'track sharp'..she suggested 'one of those little bike thingies' ( a pocket bike!!) I said I'd rather buy a blow-up doll; the whole margie pitcher went next....

Acid, did you ever try any 'fuel' recipes yet? Y'know, a 50-50 mix of 110 VP and regular premium unleaded, with 20% nitromethane by volume...that's a bunch more power across the board. This WILL work in an S, as long as the cat and the 02 sensor are removed. My little dragrace excursion I was going on was halted by a terminally slipping clutch befoe I could do this; when I do my SuperClutch, I'm going to revisit mr. hot fuel (or as we used to say 'tippin' the can'). I LOVE the smell of nitromethane in the morning (or any other time...run some in your dirt bike and everyone behind you will be coughing and have watery eyes...makes it harder for someone to pass you *grin*)

I read that review; what rubbish; the 'reviewer' says he's a 'competent' rider....maybe on an ego-glide, but anyone that's ridden a big gixxer or the equvilant somewhat competently won't (or shouldn't) be too intimidated. Any TZ250 will give the same thrills at the track, and for real excitement, try a 4-cylinder 500 2-stroke. whoa!

So for real thrills, get a pro-stock dragbike and run it on nitro and methanol. Terry Vance said when he rode the TF VHR suzuki it scared him to death every second he was on it and tried it's best to kill him every run...now there's an endorsement!
