Great stuff, man, not sure if it looks easier on the S or my RS -- I had to raise the roof, so to speak, on that bad boy! Thanks to mid-90s metalurgy, I had a sweet shaft (the ladies say that too, but that's more mid-70s biology for ya ... *grin*) with no damage.
My only concern was that you guys were using a torch on the swing arm ... were you not worried that you were scorching things or maybe even not applying symmetrical heat? I used a 1000W heat gun from Strauss and a Sears IR Thermometer to get around 200F (or whatever the manual calls for ...) and had only minor issues with the BMW Glue. Thanks for the pics!
