My K and N is the power filter version. Looks like more surface area than the standard air filter.

BTW, it's almost impossible for any form of foam to equal the surface area of a folded paper filter. The debate over this has long been a tipic of contention on this board with almost all the guys who have a real understanding of the air flow needs of the motor coming down on the side of the stock filter. The restriction is not in the filter but about 10" away on both sides of it.
