Another rider down but not out

Well I don't know how to say this but I might not be able to do the Nunley Ride. Got sideswept last night when a car decided to pull out of the left hand turn lane right into my newly reworked 94 R1100RS. Just got out of the hospital. Got out pretty lucky with only a broken up elbow that required minor surgery to remove chipped bones and a lot of bruises. Bike hasn't been evaluated yet. But looks pretty bleak with some broken and ground down valve cover studs. More to be revealed. In nine months it looks like two totaled Arai helments , many bruises. One totaled R1100SBX and possibly a totaled R1100RS more bruises. Meet with insurance man tomorrow, I'll have to wait to see how this thing shakes out! You guys probably need to appoint a new group leader.Really tired of these idiot Charlotte Drivers. Please foward this to our freinds. Thanks Dee Jones

Damm... Really sorry to hear this. You can't grow arms and legs back so count yourself as lucky. Hope you heal with no lasting affects.

Bob Hancock suggested maybe the handoff from me in Georgia to the North Carolina/Virginia portion be done at Dee's house, with him holding the cowl in his bandaged hands for the picture.
Any suggestions from the North Carolina/Virginia crew??

This is really unfortunate, but I'm glad to hear that you'll live to ride another day. Speedy recovery!!

If the weather doesn't bottom out I plan on riding over to the Gap this weekend to meet Itchybro & the GA boys when they make the cowl swap. I will try to get an update as to when the cowl will come through NC proper. Stay tuned.

Maybe I'm banal, but the important thing is that you didn't hurt too much. The rest are details.

Best wishes, Luca

talk about bad timing. It would have taken great restraint for me to keep from doing damage to the cage driver. If I was hurt, I would at least bleed over him. Heal well.

The the handoff in Georgia to the North Carolina/Virginia group sounds like it would make a great picture.

Hi Dee. Very sorry to hear about your mishap and I hope that you're all healed soon. These days, cagers are blind or nuts or both - it's not just your area I'm afraid.

Ian.

Well boys the lawyers on the way over today. I'd hoped it wouldn't come to this, well it has. I guess its time to go for the juggler. Sometimes you just gotta play hardball.
