Thumbs up Laser system form the Netherlands

I ordered my Laser system from Jama Engineering in the Netherlands on Thursday. System arrived the following Wednesday.
Cheaper than I could order it in the US and faster than any time I was quoted. I can't recommend these guys highly enough if your after a Laser system. System is s/steel throughout and has a great sound. Cat eliminator (with support bracket) mufflers and chip all for $823.98 including shipping.
Gertjan de Jongh can be reached at 01131 186646450 he speaks English and is very helpful.

Sorry they are already on so its too late. However I will say that I don't think there is much in it. The cat seem fairly light compared to it's size and both std and laser mufflers seemed heavy to me although I think the Lasers are a tiny bit lighter. It seem to me that the cat and it's pipe are made from thinner conventional steel than Laser's stainless steel. Still it makes for a good quality job. It's only my opinion but I would put on a Laser system and cutout the fish & chips :-)

ADK,

Didn't weigh mine before I put them on but the mid section saves lots over stock, the Laser cans save very little.

Wrote to Gertjan last night enquiring about a bumpstop for the centre stand. Unfortunately there is no provision for one (see message below). I know from reading the Zach page that they do one catering for the centre stand (I don't want to lose it). Any difference in quality between the two?

Laser products have always been good, customer service seems spot on, too.

Dear mr. Paterson,

I'm sorry to inform you that the Laser cat replacement doesn't have a stop for the centre stand and unfortunately it is not possible for us to weld one on.
The cat replacement costs $230 and the shipping costs $25. Payment should be done in advance by Visa or Mastercard.
The delivery time is about 5-10 days.

I hope to have informed you well.

Kind regards,

Gertjan de Jongh

The lack of stop isn't a big deal. My Vanderlinde doesn't have one either. The centre stand still works just fine, and actually doesn't make as big a clang when folding up.

I like it better without the stop.

Just my opinion, if you want the cat eliminator and want the Lazer don't let the lack of bumper stop you.

Thumbs up

Here's a simple solution to adding a stop.Use a shock absorber rubber flatten on one side and mount with tiewrap.

Exclamation

Could someone post a web site or phone number for laser. Is the Laser chip required or can an alternative be used?

I just installed my Laser slip-on muffler to match up with the Laser cat replacement pipe I installed last year. Relatively easy installation; only part that was a "small pain" was getting the rubber mounts to slide on the hooks.

Again, great service (8 days to Oregon, USA), great price $480 US dollars including shipping, and great product quality if the cat replacment pipe is any indication.

Weight savings is:

Stock cat pipe: 12 lbs
Laser cat replacement: 4 lbs

Stock muffler: 14.5 lbs
Laser muffler: 10 lbs.

(+/- .5 lbs; bathroom scale variation!)

How many people with the Laser muffler have removed the db-killer plugs from the muffler? Sound and performance thoughts??

I've never called Laser, but here's the email I've used several times.

Use a bit of silicon grease (the same stuff they recommend for the front axle would be fine) on the rubbers, and they slide on so easy.My "Foran" pipes from the headers back weigh in similar to the cat alone!!
