I spend my work week in a shop... The greenhouse is my oasis.

Not a great photo but a good story. My daughter took a cake decorating class and made one for Mother's Day. After hours of work I decided to shot her end product. The camera fell lens first into the cake, repaired part in the upper left of the photo. There were a few moments where I thought I might die. The cake was repaired but the camera's lens cover flaps would stick sometimes after that.

That camera had bad karma. CCD failed on the first day of a trip to the Grand Canyon. Fell in a cake. My daughter took it to Europe where the CCD failed again and was replaced in Poland. About 10% of the photos had the sticky lens flap in them after the cake. Finally it was taken in a burglary at my daughter's house.

I hope the karma continues for the thief and they enjoy the sticky lens flaps.

That's me fifteen years ago going through the Panama Canal as a Missile Tech.

Hoots: sorry for the misinterpretation! I never made it to the Ditch. I rode 640 class, MM2(SS) nuke, in the day. Damned proud of that, even if it was difficult to do. Had many a good friend and shipmate in the Missile House.
