Billy, that is a pretty bike, oh the view is nice too!

with all the mountain biking I have been doing this year, my dirt-bike jones has been growing leaps and bounds, too bad NJ is probably the worst state in the US for it.

We usually try to go "up" on hikes, and look for shade in the hills, but last week K got her ankle stomped by a horse so we went out into a wash where it's flat and less rocky...

Than you for explaining that. Double rainbows are pretty common out here during our rainy season, I had remembered someone here explaining why there was a dark band between the two rainbows, but could not remember who or what it was called. Another one of the many things I have learned here.

And forgotten. I read that yesterday and forgot it in less than a day. At this point in my life I think I am losing things faster than learning new ones.

I just completed a 6 day tour of the Pacific Northwest with a big part of eastern Oregon thrown in.

This is how the bike was set up.......the photo was taken in a small town park I found in Sumas, Washington just before I returned into Canada.

Cheers

Cheeky bugger.............unlike where you live, Ron, we have areas where fuel can be hard to find if you are trying to keep off the main roads.

I wish I did not have to carry that little tank, but it has saved me twice now.

The tank is red, not orange, so it would even look good on your candy cane!

Cheers

Shreddr;

The seat is a Corbin I bought from someone on this site.

When the picture was taken I was into the ride for about 375 miles.

The longest day I have done with this seat is 525 miles.

It is much better than the stock seat which I find starts to "bottom out" after a long day.

Being 5'9", I usually sit quite close to the tank where the saddle is thinnest. This area lets you move on the bike. If I need a little more support I can move back a few inches where the saddle "cups" my cheeks.

The biggest drawback I find is the saddle is too slippery if I wear my Aerostich, as I am always sliding back when hard on the throttle. If I wear a leather suit, there is no problems. A different material on the top of the saddle would cure the sliding.

The other tricks I use for long days is the Alaska leather sheepskin and wearing cycling bib tights.

Cheers

Winter Project

Here's a new winter project that was given to me.

Can you guys guess what it is?

I am just missing a few parts......the bike looks straight, no dents in the tank ,it has the original tires with only 2000 miles on it.

Cheers

I stayed at Club Med in Bora Bora once in a hut like that. We rented a Suzuki Samarai equivalent, but with a 3-cylinder 2-stroke engine.
