Interesting use of a spoke nipple!
Cheers |
Thanks.. I looked at that for 5 minutes, trying to figure out the significance of the images
|
Also.....an old frame with adjustable wheelbase, nice chromed dropouts and possibly rear triangle??
Upgraded jockey wheels........ Cheers |
OT: photos of interest - not specifically about moto
It's kind of hard to crimp a spoke nipple. I have also found that while the colored aluminum jockey wheels look trick, the stockers perform better.

Bill-
You over thought it. Its an art photo. Well, being clean is unusual. Drop- Got tried of catching the frayed cable end on clothing and the nipple was handy. Shredder- You just need big crimpers. Also my stock pulleys were plastic and wore out a long time ago. This current repair started with a flat tire and then I discovered the rear axle was broken. Decided to put on a new chain. Disassembled and lubed the freewheel too. <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/136528010@N06/24148920794/in/datetaken/" title="IMG_7055"><img src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1540/24148920794_c92d09ab84_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_7055"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/136528010@N06/24481440780/in/datetaken/" title="IMG_7057"><img src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1500/24481440780_5630547694_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_7057"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Epic failure from a long time ago- <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/136528010@N06/24409307209/in/datetaken/" title="IMG_7059"><img src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1475/24409307209_23911446a8_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_7059"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
4 year old grandson after his snowboarding lessons. As I took this pic he said "time for a waffle Oldman!".

Latest woodworking project....
Wife wanted a new floor lamp... I had some extra Oak boards, so I made her this. Nice to know I actually do finish a project once in awhile. Put a three way socket on it, so she can really light up the room if she takes it to 150 watts. Took a bunch of flash stands, and difusors to get a decent image without lots of shadows, but I still left some shadowing, to make the image look somewhat natural. Construction is White Oak, with Minwax Red Oak stain. 2 coats of sprayed Bullseye clear shellac to seal the wood before 4 coats of sprayed Minwax Polycrylic water based urethane. When using water based finish I always like to seal the wood with shellac or lacquer because the water based finish will raise the grain on the wood. http://www.bswartz.net/nikon/D610/floorlamp.jpg |
Nice. You are a man with many talents Bill. Love the glasses stand.

Nice job Bill. Your project had a purpose and had to function when you got done.
I made some wall art for my wife's birthday copying something she liked in a gallery but I was too cheap to buy. No dimension issue or function to worry about, roughly 1'x2'- <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/136528010@N06/26083980055/in/datetaken/" title="IMG_7229"><img src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1603/26083980055_9c5b61ae6a_b.jpg" width="768" height="1024" alt="IMG_7229"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
In other breaking news, the city has decided to build me a copy of the corkscrew. Unfortunately there will probably be a stop sign at the bottom.

See if they'll install an airfence for you too, that wall will hurt if you blow the timing.
|
Your corkscrew is not steep enough, and definitely less forgiving if you screw up.
