Coulrophobia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Coulrophobia is the fear of clowns. In discussions of causes of coulrophobia, sufferers seem to agree that the most fear-inducing aspect of clowns is the heavy makeup, often accompanied by the bulbous nose and weird color of hair, that conceals the wearer's identity. Sufferers sometimes acquire a fear of clowns after having a bad experience with one personally, or seeing a sinister portrayal of one in the media. Not all sufferers of the phobia experience the same degree of fear.

Don't rent The Devil's Rejects if you have Coulrophobia. Just a word to the wise...

This is Mesa Arch. And Rapid could ride the GS very close to this arch, with just a little hiking. ![]()

Shot this on the way to work. Actually doubled back in the little Saturn and rolled up within 30 feet of these guys. There were several others feasting on rode kill deer further out in the field. The one is an immature baldy and still a big bird.

That was in November or December, whenever the solar flares were reported to be great. Can you imagine how upset I was to find the flashing low battery light on the Powershot after three shots? I suppose the lack of battery life notation on the Canon Elphs might be the one problem I have with them. Went into the city, back to the house, charged for 10 minutes, returned to the spot 40 minutes later (this was at 34 degrees) to find that it was all gone and clouds were rolling it. Got the S sideways out of the incline leaving the park. Black ice for 10 miles and no trophy shots. Sweet.
I've always have been fascinated with weather phenomenon. I went through several rolls of traditional film trying to catch lightning. An expensive alternative to the new ways of previewing on a digital camera. And god bless long exposure! These were returning from Arkansas last October. Weird night and a perfect ending to an awesome trip. Clear sky above, lightning that never ended in the clouds to the northeast, and a most comfortable evening to ride. (Damn, I can't wait for that weather again.) I have about 50 shots from that night, which was what the battery had left from the rather photo-heavy weekend. The bike one is lightly photoshopped to bring the lightness down. That weird light line around the bike and gear is in the original and makes it look fake anyways, so PS'ing it, which I normally never do, helped out a photo that looked PS'ed originally. ![]() ![]() |
