His gallery is currently showing on my laptop's Desktop AND screensaver. I'd think the guy worked for Nat. Geographic if I didn't know better.

Oh dear.....

That is a tough shot......subjects in the shadows and plenty of highlights to wash out if one is not careful, looks like you hit it well ..........

my 15 year old son and I went shopping for images today... so far he has only been allowed to ride a few local roads around our neighborhood... But today I took him on an 80 mile round trip ride up to Petit Jean State Park.

from the Eastern side of the park you can see the flooded AR. River...

We rode over to the other side of the park and walked to an overlook of the falls... I took some pictures....

And my boy took a few as well...

Nice pictures!

My wierd world...

wswartzwel 04-19-2008 09:45 PM

Do you carry bright flashlights with you, I know you were out there late in the evening to catch the best photo light... Then you have to hike out in the dark, with steep cliffs and such... Not to mention all those rattle snakes, and screaming eels. It has become a habit for me to watch the bottom of the page on Sat. and Sun. evenings to see when you log on... When it is real late I do worry a bit.... I mean you could trip on a rock and break a hip... ;)

Another nice shot BTW.

I'll break a hip soon enough gramps! :)

Sometimes I cut it sort of close. There was supposed to be a 1 day short full moon tonight, but I never saw it, till I got out of the hole I was in. What's a screaming eel? I'd ask my brother in Arkansas but I don't talk to him, perhaps he would know?

Screaming Eels, are like R.O.U.L.S. From the movie The Princess Bride.
