Oh fo Jeez sakes, Dean O...............just what I need! I need to start saving now....... Why are they moving forward so fast............now that I am getting old so quickly?

A great step forward for BMW motorcycles. They would like to show that they have the engine, especially if one must resort to a primitive chain.

Thanks for the heads up post.

How much is the 1098S that is being raced, thought it was in the range of $24K, just curious.

Cool

Why wait for the "190/190" if you can buy the "185/210" already today for half the money?!Just in case if somebody cares,it's really called GSXR 1000...
Who cares about jap super sport clones if the hard core BMW buyer is still waiting for a true boxer sport-tourer...!?
I guess another slow seller...
And if they think they jump into WSB and win against japaninc and Ducati,I think it will be another long learning process like in Formula 1...

My problem is the more I'm able to afford one of these, the less worthy of them I become. I need something that has good turn in, sticky tires, comfy ergo's, costs $40,000 and has 40 hp.

Bob,

You send half of that down and I'll build it for you

> the more I'm able to afford one of these, the less worthy of them I become

Ditto, I understand it all too well. Thus I'm only racing little bikes like SVs and XRs.
Did exactly 20 sessions over two trackdays at two different tracks this weekend and
am plenty tired and beat up. I got to work on some really nice bikes, but my little putters
were about all I could handle. I should've been given more money when I was younger.

I can't see BMW going superbike racing, and see them even less winning anything, but it would be cool to watch, so I hope I'm wrong.

Brian Parriott finished 6th in AMA Superbike as a privateer. I wouldn't be surprised to see him do well.

I don't in general much care for it, but here you're right.

Gotta give all those recently freed-up 450cc engineers something to do.
