It fitted well, had a bubble so the wind buffetting was much lessened and it never got a scratch, regardles of the many sponges i used to clean it with I have no idea what material Puig uses for it's windshields or why aren't others using it too, but it's way more superior to the materials used for originals. Regardless of all the mud I throw at the beemer's windscreen I had not scratched it yet, but I'm being extra careful with it. I did scratch the left side mirror, by wiping it with the hard side of the sponge, naively thinking that it's glass mirror. Cheap stuff, was a bit dissapointed about it. |

...well maybe tomorrow a few rounds...
...the temperature tomorrow will be around zero degrees Centigrade... ...but the forecast is dry, and sunny... ...and don't know exactly how much higher the new screen is ; I think about 6 or 7 centimeters...

…so ; finally I had the change to test the Puig screen this midday…
…this morning started with minus 5 degrees Centigrade, and today around two I saw 2 degrees C. on thermometer… …and we all know, sunny, and dry two degrees are enough for a little (test) ride… …I can write a long story ; but it is quite simple. This somewhat higher is screen is so much better than the (much too) low stock one… …suddenly I saw 230 (144 mph) on the speedometer, and I was still in an ‘upright’ position… …you can tour, in every comfort, around with, lets say 140-150 km/h (88-94 mph)… …no buffeting… …no extra annoying wind noise (hard to say of course, I have a quiet helmet (BMW Sportintegral), and custom made ear-plugs)… …and at lower speeds, between 80 and 110 km/h (50 to 69 mph), there is still enough pressure against the shoulders, for not getting sore wrists… …this screen gives you a wind protection a bit like on the 1100S… …well ; my conclusion : I’m happy with my new screen ! …a few pics I took today… we had a cold start this morning  here I am in Vollenhove ; with its odd church  once, long ago, Vollenhove was a fishing-village  Uncle Sam (name of that little boat) in Vollenhove  (I think ; at the end of the week we can skate here !) very cold ; but a great day for a little tour  after Vollenhove, I visited Hasselt  …and home again...

...I found the R12S screen at the 'new products' button...
...haven't got the model number for you... ...cause I threw the package away... ...otherwise ; send Puig an email... ...did that too, and had my information within a few hours...

That windscreen looks very good on the bike. The one I had on kawa was designed similarly and it looked better than the original.
Oh yeah, you seem to have a little smudge on the belly pan. It's barely noticable, but it's there.
