chris's bike is beautiful in its retro simplicity and authenticity. those design exercises are fugly plain and simple.

Authenticity?Looks like a pure copy of something 60's british to me...
Not bad but cafe racers had frame mounted half fairing covering half of the tank as also that waaay too big looking upper triple clamp and ugly R1100R tach...
The seat looks pretty uncomfortable,too...

Also what is with that missing space between airbox and rear tire?
Maybe room for a supercharger for next year's run?!

R...ST:

Have you sent your resume to David Robb? If not, you should. Maybe he doesn't know how much he needs your help.

I did not know David Robb designed the San Jose R75...
I'm not a designer but I have my visions when something looks right.
David Robb did a good job on the Lo Rider/Tief Fahrer...But it is still not done.
As for Robb I still don't know how the same man penned something as right looking as the R1100S still after 10 long years, and something as wrong as the R1200ST?

Robb is head of design, he doesn't design the bikes himself. The guy who designed the lo rider unfortunately died in 2007. The R1100S was designed by Heinrich (if I'm correct)
