rev tech optimizer

Anyone running a Rev Tech optimizer for the R1100s. I've got Staintunes with a y-pipe and it's running lean. The price is half that of a power commander.

Hi, my research suggests that the RevTech DFO (digital fuel optimizer) was developed by Mark Dobeck, the brains behind Techlusion. That may suggest that it is comparable to the Techlusion product - and may even be the same product carrying a different brand (they do this for Wunderlich, for example). I do not know, for certain.

The suggestions for "tuning" the RevTech are similar to the Techlusion in that both are from the "add fuel" school of thought.

Other products (typically more expensive) provide the option of both enriching and leaning the air/fuel mixture. For most, so say the experts, the solution to the 5K dip and other fuel supply related issues is with adding more fuel at specific RPMs. Issues include owner-induced lean-ness by having added aftermarket pipes/muffler with better flow and/or an upgraded hi-flow air filter. More airflow, same fuel supply = lean.

Therefore, you might want to compare this price and features with Techlusion. Although I have no direct experience with the product, I understand that Shreddr (on this board) uses a Techlusion.

Hope that helps start the dialogue.
Ian
